Most of what we build is light gauge steel. Structural steel is how we take those projects further: the beams, columns, and connections that carry heavier loads, add stories, and solve the lateral and seismic reinforcement an LGS frame alone can't. It's the backbone behind our panelized builds.
That capability is rooted in a seismic-retrofit heritage: in-house structural engineering, AWS D1.1 certified welding, and field erection, delivered end to end from shop drawing to set frame, on time and to code.

Working behind an outside general contractor, Cal Steel is delivering the complete structural steel and light gauge steel package: from a deep basement and its custom curved steel stair up through the second-floor structure.
